Diamond Youth Foundation Scholarship Program

 

Our mission is to increase student awareness of potential career choices through exposure to a variety of disciples and role models, and mentoring.  One of the DYF's primary goals is to provide financial assistance to deserving individuals in the quest of higher education culminating in a four (4) year baccalaureate degree from a fully accredited institution.

To that end, the Diamond Youth Foundation is pleased to invite you to apply for our annual Scholarship Contest. 

 

Award Amount:  The DYF Scholarship is valued at $1000.00.

 

Eligibility:   To be eligible for the DYF Scholarship, the applicant must be a high school graduating senior with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 on 4.0 grade scale. The scholarship will only be awarded to those individuals matriculating to higher education in pursuit of a bachelor degree from a fully accredited college or university.   Primary consideration will be given to students residing in Northwestern, Western, and Southwestern suburbs of Chicago, but the scholarship committee will consider all qualified applicants.

 

Selection will be based on:

  • Academic Performance

  • Demonstrated Leadership Skills

  • Community Service

  • Financial Need

  • Panel Interview

 

Application must be submitted and post marked by Saturday, February 18, 2023.

2023 DIAMOND YOUTH FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION  (Click the link to download)

 

Notification:  If selected as a finalist, applicant will be notified by Monday, February 27, 2023.  The applicant will be required to participate in a panel interview to further determine the scholarship award.  Interviews will be conducted during the week of March 6, 2023.
